I love a good mascara, I think mascara is the one product you can never skip out on a day-to-day basis. The Flawless Definition Mascara by Bare Escentuals is a mineral mascara that promises to nourish your lashes while giving you definition to your lashes. This has been my favorite wand that I’ve ever tried, it has a tapered shape to it so it gets even the tiniest lashes! So how did the formula perform? Let’s find out!
What it is:
A waterproof mascara that gives your lashes the same perfect definition and nurturing mineral care as the original, but it will not smudge or budge until you take it off intentionally.

As I mentioned earlier, the wand is perfect if you fear your lashes clumping together. The tapered wand is perfect for grabbing even the tiniest lashes to bring definition. The issue with the tapered wand is that there is excess product on the tip of the wand which ends up smudging on your skin if you don’t wipe the excess off. Here is a closer look at the wand:

My Experience:
I have a love/hate relationship with this mascara, I love the wand but I hate the formula. It does define my lashes and keeps them curled through the day but it does not lengthen and volumize my lashes My ideal mascara will give me volume and length. I do like that it gives me dark lashes and that it doesn’t flake all day! I usually wear makeup for 10 hours and it didn’t budge on me at all. I’m not sure if this is waterproof since it didn’t budge on me, it can easily be removed with any oil-based makeup remover.
The formula is a bit wet and you do have to be careful when applying it. When I first started using this type of wand, it did poke my eye out because it’s very tapered and long. I love that I can get product on hard-to-reach lashes, I find that this works best for my lower lashes since it doesn’t flake on me at all.
I would recommend this mascara for those who want natural looking lashes that doesn’t flake all day. For $18 I’m sure you can find a drugstore dupe!
