I always look forward to new lip products out in the market, Bare Escentuals have yet again created a marvelous product by combining the 2 elements of a lip gloss and a lipstick into a tiny tube. Thus comes the Bare Minerals Pretty Amazing Lipcolor in Bravado Review, The shade that I will be reviewing today is the most absolute perfect everyday pop of red without going too bright.
This liquid-cream-gloss masterpiece comes in a variety of different shades since its launch. The shade that I will be reviewing today is Bravado, it’s a highly pigmented brick red shade that brings a nice richness to the lips.
Packaging
The Pretty Amazing Lip Color comes in a lip gloss tube, this is perfect for traveling since its so cute! The wand is pretty unique, at least I have never seen anything like it. Its a flat wand that is a bit flexible so it fits perfectly into the curves of your lips for optimum application.
PRODUCT
I’ve tried only a few lip cream formulas from different bands. Lip creams generally have a thicker formula so they do wear longer than normal lip glosses. For me, this wore about 4 hours before it started feathering. With a lip liner the amount was pretty much the same. The consistency is not sticky but a more smooth cream-like texture when worn. It doesn’t have any scent which was a big let down! I’m a huge fan of their mineral glosses and they smell like sweet vanilla. I’m glad this doesn’t have any sort of taste but the scent factor was a let down since every lip product has a scent nowadays.

My Experience
The Pretty Amazing Lip Color does a fantastic job of keeping the color rich after hours, it hydrates just as well. This has been my go to product for a night out since I get a bit annoyed to apply my lip color constantly. I wish this would last longer than 4 hours, after the 4th hour the color starts to fade and it feels really uncomfortable and stick on the lips. These don’t have an intense amount of “gloss-factor”, the finish is more of a creamy consistency.
The interesting thing about this product is that the applicator is really something new. It has a flat shape which I honestly don’t really get the point to altering the applicator when a regular lip gloss applicator does the same job.
The wand does dispense a bit too much product. I find that I have to remove a lot of the product since you just need a small amount to cover your lips. If you are going for a stain you can take just a small amount and lightly dab it on the center of your lips.
For me, this is one of thoes products to wear on a night out when you don’t want to touch up your makeup…for those days when you are headed to work this might feel a bit too heavy on your lips because of how thick the product is.

With a rich color pay-off and smooth texture, these Pretty Amazing Lip Colors are a must have. You can use the applicator to your advantage for a nice crisp line if your fond of unique applicators. But the winning element of this product is the pigmentation. If you have dry lips than I suggest trying these out, they do moisturize pretty well (better than a lipstick) and do last on the lips just as long!
Overall, a nice product to keep in your travel makeup kit! This is something you shouldn’t miss out on.
