Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara replicates the appearance of false lashes by extending your own lashes dramatically while also thickening each individual strand. With only a few strokes of the applicator, my lashes look longer, thicker, and defined. As seen in the picture below, each lash is separated by the applicator, creating a natural look without unsightly clumps. Overall, I am very happy with the way that Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara makes my eyelashes look and it is the perfect finish to a dramatic smokey eye look.

One of the major drawbacks of this mascara is the high price tag. While I do love the effect that Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara creates, other brands such as Maybelline and Covergirl offer similarly effective products at a much lower cost. I would not purchase this product again, simply because I can find a comparable mascara at a lower price. Also, don’t wear this mascara if you know that you might cry or sweat. I made the mistake of wearing this once during an outdoor event and the mascara ran under my eye, creating a not-so-attractive raccoon eye effect. This is inconvenient as I don’t like purchasing a product, especially one as pricey as this, that I cannot use in all situations. It is definitely not waterproof, sweat proof, or heat proof. However, it can be removed very easily with face wash and water. I get frustrated when mascaras leave buildup on my eyelashes, which makes them more likely to fall out, so I like that Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara is easily removable.

The normal bottle of Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara is very long and thin, which is inconvenient for traveling. I find that it doesn’t fit in my general makeup bag. However, I got the smaller container that is pictured above as a free sample at Sephora, so I use that when I know that I need to pack lightly.

Overall, Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara is a great product that creates a dramatic lash effect as advertised. However, because of the relatively high price in comparison to other equally effective mascaras, I would not recommend purchasing it.
