Eye Shadow Reviews - Guide to the Best Eyeshadow
Eye shadows are usually applied on the lids and under the brows to accentuate the eyes. They are primarily used to make the eyes stand out and look more beautiful by adding depth and dimension. They are also used to complement the natural color of the eye.
Eye shadows are available in different types and colors. The most common eye shadow comes in a powder form but there are also cream, pencil, mousse or liquid eye shadows. They can also be purchased in a wide range of colors from pastels such as pink, purple, peach and blue to neutral shades like brown, gray, white and black.
Although there are no strict rules in choosing the best eyeshadows, users are advised to consider their eye color and skin tone. Those with light complexion can go for almost all shades while richer and deeper shades are best for darker skin tones. When it comes to eye color, brown eyes usually fit any color of eye shadow while there are specific shades of eye make-up that will best enhance blue, green and grey eyes.
Eye shadow application can be made easier by having at least three shades from the same color family. The lightest shade is applied on the brow bone; the medium shade on the lid and the darkest shade on the crease of the eye. Powder eye shadows are best applied using a brush while the cream or liquid types may be applied with the fingers.
