NYC Blushable Creme Stick in Urban Spice Review

The brand NYC has never really made an impact for me, personally, when it came to their beauty products. I had tried a few of their liquid foundations and some powders in the past. They we’re “ok” to me so when my Tita (this is how we say aunt in the Philippines) handed me the NYC blushable creme stick, I wasn’t too excited to try it out. One hot afternoon, before going to work, I decided to pair it with my daily sun cream. Here’s what I think of it so far:
Handy, Can Easily fit in my bag
If you’ve read my previous posts, you’ll know that I’m a carry-it-all girl. I like huge bags to put everything in (like Mary Poppins) except the kitchen sink. I have several important things in my bag of wonders so I don’t really like bringing make-up along. This however is like a lipstick, only bigger so I can just put it in the side pocket of my bag.
Blend-ability

I just love the texture of the NYC blushable creme stick. It’s not too creamy – which I like. When you get a feel of it, you’ll see that it actually feels velvety and some-what powder-like. Since that faithful day (when I first tried it on), I have always paired it with my sun screen or sometimes my moisturizer. Blends even better with creams and moisturizers but it’s totally independent from that factor.
Color/ Shade/ Shimmer

The shades from the NYC blushable creme stick line were adorable! The line has an excellent selection of shades that one could possibly wear on a daily basis. I have mine in Urban Spice which is more of a bronze color. To me, it has just the right amount of shimmer to make my skin look glowy/dewy (PLUS!).
It wasn’t that bronzy when I put it on, the color pay off was great but it fades to something more subtle and more natural when you blend it. I feel like it’s one of those error-proof blushes! You could never go wrong with this one as long as you BLEND. So it’s more of a blush than a bronzer.
Can you guess?
For you guys to see how natural looking it is, can you guess which picture I have the blush on? DON’T SCROLL DOWN too fast. I’ll tell you the answer after you read the article.
Which picture am I wearing the blush in?
Staying Power
This is one thing I did not like about this blush. It’s cream so I was expecting for it to melt away fast if you don’t set it. I do not have time to set, really. I like “plug-play” to everything because I’m in a hurry (all the time). Expect to reapply it every 30mins when you don’t have time to set it (like I do).
To use: Put a bit on the apples of your cheeks and blend!
Price
Thanks to my Tita, I got mine as a gift but the price is really comfortable. I searched for several sources online and most of them are in the $3-$5 budget (My kind of budget!) The price is not bad for the quality and the color selection.
Overall
I love it for daily use (been using it ever since) but I don’t like the fact that I have to reapply it every once in a while. Giving it a 7 out of 10.

This is how I look like without the blush.
Answer: I was wearing the blush in both pictures!
Did you get the answer right? What do you think of the blush?
